Anything which is precious requires a lot of care and attention. This does not get any truer for jewelry. Now jewelry comes in both durable and not so durable formats. Durable jewelry may consist of hard rocks such as diamonds, sapphires, rubies etc. These are very hard and seldom crack or scratch as well as Necklaces jewelry. And then you have other types of stones which are not nearly as hard such as Peridots, Garnets and Pearls which are softer and can easily crack.
Regardless of how durable a stone or metal which comes with it is, you have to be careful else there is a very good chance that you might end up doing some permanent damage to your beautiful ring.
Always clean your jewelry with a soft-bristled brush. In most cases a solution of mild ammonia and water will suffice. However organic stones such as pearls are best cleaned with a damp cloth, as these have a tendency to dissolve if left in any solution for too long. Wrap up the jewelry in a piece of cloth and soak it in the solution for about 5 minutes. Then take it out and clean it with a non-metallic brush to wipe out any grime on the jewelry. While ammonia and warm water is what is recommended, you can also use a mild detergent to get the job done.
Cleaning metals is no different thanks to Cheap Fashion Jewelry. Metals can be cleaned easily in the same method as described above. Just don't scrape to hard on gold or silver plated jewelry as this may cause irreversible damage to your jewelry set.
